We met with the birth family again yesterday. Some health concerns for the child came up. At the very least, it will delay things. We will know next week if the health concerns are valid. If they are, the adoption will conclude without a placement in our home.

Won’t know anything until Tuesday.

Fell off the radar again. I have a good reason this time. Over the weekend, we got matched with a child. It had been brewing for a few days before that, but became official on Monday. The baby is a little girl. We have met the parents last night and have another meeting with them tonight. The little girl is not a newborn and because of her age, the transition to our home will be very delicate. We thought it would take place over the next 2 weeks. Found out yesterday it may happen tomorrow or Monday- and of course, adoption is the world of no guarentees, so it could happen: Never.

After the failure of the adoption in November, FlyGuy and I are gun shy to say the least. I am more optimistic about this situation than he is, but we both remain very guarded. I promise to share more when we know more.
