FlyGuy and Little Lassie leave early on Wednesday for their trip to VA. Tomorrow, I’ll pack for both of them. I feel like I need to be strategic with what I send because FlyGuy has to manage LL, stroller, briefcase and luggage all by himself in the airport. He is currently out of town and I asked him to email me what clothes he wanted to take. This is thoughtful, emailed response:

He’s a detail man, can you tell? (Did he think I was going to pack his tux?) Since I’m still not pleased they are going without me*, I feel like only packing FlyGuy a swimsuit and Hawaiian shirt. If I did that, my MIL would never forgive or forget. She told me not to pack much because she would do FlyGuy and LL’s laundry while they are there, which simply means I better pack his “good socks,” the ones without holes.

*They are going without me because kenneling Fidget costs a king’s ransom in downtown Chicago, so I have been named the dogwalker/dogsitter. I’m trying to think of it as a high honor.
