It’s official, we are a family of 3. Our new little one came home with us yesterday and FlyGuy and I are having quite an adventure trying to decipher what this little person is trying to tell us. We usually don’t get the message correct, so we try to love her enough that whatever gets lost in translation is quickly forgotten.

FlyGuy has been terrific with taking on the job of Mr. Clean. When I’m with the little one, (we’ll call her Little Lassie until I come up with something more fitting) FlyGuy is keeping busy doing dishes and tidying up. Not cleaning, mind you, simply putting things away in their proper place, which is a huge move forward from his/our previous slovenly ways.

Little Lassie has chunky-monkey legs and a bright smile that shows 2 bottom teeth when she’s really delighted with something. Fidget seems happy to have another being in the house to love her. Our cat, Simon, could care less about the baby, but loves the new carpet in the nursery.

I have many tales of happiness and heartache about how Little Lassie came to be our child, but right now, I can only seem to think about the future. People used to tell me I’d be a mom someday, I never believed them and still kind of don’t. But I am.

You are a MOM sista you are and a great one at that. I always new you would be but seeing you wiht her at my house today jsut showed me evern more. I am so happy for you and flyguy and little lassie ( love her name by the way)
I love all three of you:)
Noah woke up from nap asking for her and silas just kept looking around the house…i could tell he was looking for his new girlfriend:)

I will miss you at work, but I know that you are in a better place. You and FlyGuy have now entered into the wonderful world of parenthood!! Welcome to the Club!! I miss you already and want to call but now I fear waking the Little Miss. Please feel free to call me ANYTIME!! I loved her picture, she looks like her new Mommie!! I am thrilled!!!
