Here we are hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This is one of those photos where I posed FlyGuy, put the camera on timer and ran to get in the photo. Not too bad considering I had just sat on Fidget’s tail.
This picture shows the lovely scenery we saw on the trail. I think Fidget is looking over her shoulder to protect me from some swarthy ticks.

p.s. Surely you are becoming tired of hearing about ticks, but Dear Readers, this blog is my brain exposed and I’ve got ticks on the brain (better than on the scalp.) Hopefully, soon I will become one with the tick and you will be released from this madness. Until then, your support is much appreciated.

Seeing that scenery makes me so envious. I have spent the summer helping to build and paint our back porch. it’s a good thing you have that big ferocious dog to protect you. Hope the bugs and large animals have not seen her photo when she is relaxing on the couch. I look forward to more stories and updates on the tick watch.

After experiencing ticks on me recently I completely understand what those damn bugs are doing to you. The thought of them digging their little heads right in your skin, it is so nasty! Don’t cut your hair yet. You have beautiful hair and it will make someone so happy to recieve it through Locks of Love. Keep doing the hat thing. It will work! Thanks for the pictures. Such a pretty place! Jill

You’ve been on my mind lately, more than usual. Ticks are a nuisance, you’re handling it pretty well I think. Maybe ticks are actually good preparation for parenthood. I’ve been combing M’s hair every 2 days-treating her headlice. She’s had it about 5 times this year. Her first treatment was on Christmas eve, and another the night before school pictures! Both occasions now all the photos are of M with greasy hair. A true living memory of the reality of childhood.
